Quy Nhon airport (official name: Phu Cat Airport) is an important aviation gateway for the "martial arts land" of former Binh Dinh, connecting this province with major economic and tourism centers throughout the country. With modern infrastructure, convenient services, and strategic location, Phu Cat is increasingly affirming its role as a driving force for tourism development and regional trade in the South Central Coast region.
Quy Nhon airport, also called Phu Cat Airport (sân bay Phù Cát), before the provincial merger event (01/07/2025) was the only airport in former Binh Dinh Province (tỉnh Bình Định), playing an important role in tourism development, socio-economic development, and having strategic significance for national defense for the province.
After the merger, Phu Cat Airport will be the leading important aviation gateway of the new Gia Lai super-province (siêu tỉnh Gia Lai), supporting Pleiku Airport to create a diverse connectivity network, promoting sea-forest economic development, tourism, and trade for the entire province.

The airport is located next to National Highway 1 and near the North-South railway, creating convenient conditions for transportation by both road and rail. From the airport, just traveling about 30-25 km northwest, visitors can access the center of new Quy Nhon Ward and explore famous tourist destinations like Ky Co, Eo Gio, Phuong Mai Sand Hill...
Phu Cat Airport Port is a civil airport combined with military use, with a runway 3,048m long, 45m wide, allowing aircraft like Airbus A320/A321 to operate. The airport has 8 aircraft parking positions and plans to upgrade the runway to accommodate larger aircraft.
The airport owns 01 modern passenger terminal (T1) with a total usable area of about 8,397m². The terminal is designed with two floors, with the first floor being the main hall, aviation check-in area, airline ticket counters, departure baggage sorting area, security check area, arrival baggage carousel, and commercial service areas (dining, shopping) along with VIP lounges. The second floor of the terminal is the boarding waiting area, business lounges, and other non-aviation services.
