1. Where is Kansai International Airport located? Is it far from the city center?
Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, about 50km from central Osaka. Travel time from the airport to the city center ranges from 40-70 minutes depending on transportation.
2. How early should I arrive at the airport for international/domestic flights?
You should arrive 2-3 hours early for check-in procedures (for international flights) and arrive 90 minutes early (for domestic flights).
3. Is there free Wi-Fi at Kansai International Airport?
Yes. Kansai International Airport provides unlimited free Wi-Fi at both terminals (T1 and T2). You can access Wi-Fi #AirportFreeWiFi-Kansai or #AirportFreeWiFi-Kansai2.4G without entering a password.
4. Can I exchange money or withdraw cash at the airport?
Yes. The airport has many foreign currency exchange counters, ATMs accepting international cards and banks operating 24/7 at both Terminal T1 and T2.
5. Does the airport operate at night?
Kansai International Airport operates 24/7, however many services such as shops, food courts, buses, trains will stop operating after 22:00-23:00. If arriving late at night, you should book a taxi or private shuttle service in advance.
6. Can I store luggage at the airport?
Yes. The airport has short-term luggage storage services and automatic lockers at both Terminal T1 and T2. Prices range from 300-800 yen/day depending on luggage size.
7. What should I note if arriving with a low-cost carrier?
Most low-cost carriers (LCC) use Terminal T2, which is far from T1 and not connected by train. You need to use the free internal bus to move, and should arrive early as T2 has fewer check-in counters.
8. Are there SIM card purchasing services at the airport?
Yes. You can buy tourist SIM cards at service counters in the airport or pre-order online.
9. Are there support counters with English-speaking staff?
Yes. The airport has a Tourist Information Center with staff speaking Japanese, English and several other languages, ready to assist you with itineraries, transportation and other issues.
10. Are there any flights from Kansai International Airport to Vietnam?
