On the evening of September 15, Vietnam Airlines collaborated with the Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) and the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to host a send-off ceremony for the Vietnam Sports Delegation attending the 20th Asian Games (ASIAD 20). Serving as the official carrier, the airline continues to stand alongside the athletes on their journey to conquer the continent's largest sporting stage.
The send-off ceremony took place at Terminal 2, Noi Bai International Airport. The event aimed to boost morale and inspire the Vietnam Sports Delegation to achieve outstanding results and bring honor to the nation.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Mr. Le Chi Quan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Branch of Vietnam Airlines, expressed: “On this journey to conquer new heights, Vietnam Airlines is immensely proud to once again be entrusted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, as well as the Vietnam Sports Administration, as the official airline accompanying the Vietnam Sports Delegation. ASIAD 20 takes place from September 19 to October 4 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The Vietnam Sports Delegation is attending with 498 members, including 348 athletes competing across 33 sports and disciplines, targeting 4 or more gold medals.
Vietnamese athletes will compete across various sports and disciplines, including athletics, swimming, weightlifting, shooting, rowing, canoeing, sepak takraw, karate, gymnastics, taekwondo, archery, boxing, wrestling, cycling, wushu, kurash, jujitsu, men's indoor volleyball, women's indoor volleyball, men's beach volleyball, women's beach volleyball, men's football, women's football, judo, golf, handball, badminton, fencing, sailing, teqball, esports, breaking, and mixed martial arts (MMA).
