The concert marks the third return of the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) to Hanoi, participated in by approximately 100 talented artists, featuring some rare musical instruments, many of which are more than 200 years old. Hanoians and tourists alike are in for a promising event including the world’s most exceptional musical performances. The LSO will perform eight songs, starting with Vietnam’s National Anthem followed by seven orchestrations of international composers. Years past featured superb performances directed by conductor Niklas Benjamin Hoffmann in 2017, and Elim Chan in 2018. This year’s audience can look forward to yet another spectacular show as conducted by Sir Simon Rattle — a globally celebrated conductor who has received honors at the Classic Brit Awards.
Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2019 will take place at Ly Thai To Square, Hanoi from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on October 5, 2019. To make the concert more accessible to the public, 400-inch LED screens will be placed on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, and at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.
