Hanoi, November 14th 2016: with a view to improving the quality of passenger service, Vietnam Airlines has worked in partnership with Jetstar Pacific to introduce code-sharing flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with a frequency of 34 flights/route/day, in approximately every 30 minutes starting from 05h45 to 21h30. Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines operates flights at even hours (06h00, 07h00 ... 21h00), while more flights are arranged alternately every 15-30 minutes.
Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Executive Vice-President of Vietnam Airlines, said: "In an effort to enhance our capacity to serve customers between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines has started to operate flights at even hours with an average spacing of 30 minutes/flight. This helps passengers easily remember their flying time and arrange working schedule in a more convenient manner."
Thanks to the effective operation at peak hours, VNA’s flights have increased in frequency, its schedules have become more flexible so that passengers can flight shortly after arriving at the airport. The new flight schedule has been designed to facilitate regular passengers on business trip who need to travel back and forth on the same day.
Wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 787, Boeing 777, Airbus A350, Airbus A330 have been deployed in more than 65% flights between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, the remaining flights will be operated by A321. Besides, new generation aircraft such as Boeing 787, Airbus A350 will be arranged at 10h00 - 12h00 and 14h00 - 19h00, to offer extra conveniences for officials or businessmen as well as for all passengers who wish to experience the 4-star service on the most modern aircraft. Furthermore, Golden Lotus members holding Platinum, Golden cards with full-fare economy tickets when traveling on flights operated by Boeing 787 and A350 will enjoy the opportunity to be upgraded to premium economy class where seats are wider and more comfortable.
