This project is part of a series of community-oriented activities in 2023 by Vietnam Airlines Corporation. In coordination with the Central Youth Union Team Council, Vietnam Airlines is implementing the project to build libraries for children in particularly disadvantaged areas (Category III) at Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School. According to the plan, the library will be inaugurated on September 5, during the new school year opening ceremony.

The library will not only be a place to store knowledge but also play an important role in opening doors to the future for the children. It provides a large collection of materials, ranging from textbooks, literature, science books to books on arts and other fields. This allows children to access new knowledge, expand their vocabulary, and gain a better understanding of the world around them.

Reading is an important part of building a strong learning foundation. Through reading, children can acquire knowledge and develop lifelong learning skills. Building libraries in especially difficult areas demonstrates Vietnam Airlines’ commitment and deep concern for the community.

Furthermore, the humanitarian project with the message “Give a Book, Lift a Future” aims to provide every child in these areas not only access to books at school libraries but also the opportunity to read at home.

Books not only offer knowledge but also serve as a positive source of entertainment. Reading helps reduce stress and fosters curiosity and independent learning in children.

The project has been enthusiastically supported by leaders and staff across the Corporation’s units. After just 2 days of book donation campaigning (August 17 & 18), the organizing committee received more than 300 kg of books, notebooks, school supplies, both new and used, as well as cash donations. These funds will be used to provide scholarships for disadvantaged children, including those with serious illnesses who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.
On September 5, Vietnam Airlines will deliver all the above donations on the occasion of presenting the Reading, Interaction, and Team Activity Space to Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School in Lang Son. Through this initiative, Vietnam Airlines Corporation hopes to spread a positive message about contributing to education and promote the values of building community.
