Vietnam Airlines Announces International Terminal Changes
Hanoi, March 17, 2026 – As part of its dedicated roadmap to achieve 5-star international airline status by 2030, Vietnam Airlines is officially relocating its operations to three major international hubs this spring. These moves are designed to modernize the passenger journey, leverage the latest in airport technology, and provide more seamless connections within the SkyTeam alliance.
In Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila, Philippines), the operations will shift from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 starting March 29, 2026. This relocation addresses capacity constraints at the previous terminal and significantly improves the travel experience through better connectivity. The consolidation of SkyTeam alliance members within Terminal 3 will facilitate smoother check-in procedures and more convenient flight connections for all international travelers.
Beginning March 31, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will move its passenger check-in operations from Terminal 2E to Terminal 2C at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (France). This recently renovated facility is located approximately 200 meters from the former location and offers modernized infrastructure and a more optimized operational layout for international carriers. Terminal 2C currently serves several major global airlines, including Emirates, Air Canada, and Xiamen Airlines.
On May 19, 2026, the airline will transfer all operations from Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 2 (Germany) to the brand-new Terminal 3. This state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open in April 2026 as Terminal 2 undergoes refurbishment. The new terminal features advanced self-service kiosks and automated baggage drop systems to standardize ground handling and reduce processing times. Passengers can easily transfer between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 via the airport’s Skyline train or shuttle buses in approximately five minutes.
