Starting from July 1, 2025, Tan Binh District will undergo a reorganization. The district will no longer exist as it currently stands. Instead, it will be merged into new administrative divisions. The former 15 wards of Tan Binh District will be reorganized into 7 new wards: Tan Son Hoa Ward, Tan Quyen Ward, Tan Thanh Ward, Tan Mai Ward, Tan Chanh Hiep Ward, Tan Tien Ward, and Tan Binh Ward.
