New carry-on baggage allowance
Will Vietnam Airlines consider adjusting the checked baggage allowance to compensate for the reduced cabin baggage?
Will baggage checks be conducted thoroughly and consistently? Will airport staff weigh both the main baggage and personal item?
Some international airlines allow 12–14kg of cabin baggage and do not strictly enforce the limit. Is Vietnam Airlines being too stringent?
Will the new policy be implemented consistently across all domestic and international routes?
Does the reduction in cabin baggage allowance contradict Vietnam Airlines' commitment to improving service quality and passenger experience?
According to the new policy, the maximum cabin baggage allowance is 10kg, including 1 main item and 1 personal item. What qualifies as a personal item, and what are the size/type restrictions? Can passengers bring a laptop bag, small handbag, or personal backpack? If the main item already weighs 10kg, will the personal item be weighed as well?
If a passenger’s cabin baggage exceeds 10kg, can they purchase additional cabin baggage allowance? What is the fee?
If a passenger purchased their ticket before the policy change, will they be entitled to the previous allowance (12kg)?
Is the new cabin baggage policy applicable to all fare classes, or only to Economy Class?
