With accumulated miles, Lotusmiles members can upgrade to higher service (Business or Premium Economy Class).
Redeeming miles for service upgrade is a dedicated program for Lotusmiles members. Members can use miles to upgrade to a higher service class (Business or Premium Economy) via two forms of mile-for-upgrade redemption:
Redeeming miles for upgrades at Vietnam Airlines' sales offices/branches applies to flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and codeshare flights numbered from VN2000 to VN2999 (all flights numbered VN). Applicable to tickets issued by Vietnam Airlines (Ticket numbers start with 738....)
An upgraded ticket has the same use terms as the original purchase ticket.

GUIDELINES FOR REDEEMING AWARDS
Members can redeem miles for upgrades by sending an email or contacting Vietnam Airlines branches/sales offices for direct assistance.
Step 1: Submit
Members can send a Request for upgrade awards (with filled-in information) and a photo of their ID/passport to the email vip.lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (for Million Milers, Platinum, Gold members) or lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (for Titanium, Silver, registered members) to check the ticket conditions and seat status.
Step 2: Mile deduction and payment
If the upgrade is eligible, Vietnam Airlines will instruct you to pay the taxes and fees incurred.
Step 3: Upgrade confirmation
The upgrade ticket will be sent to the member's email.
Step 1: Before checking in for a flight, Lotusmiles members proceed to the Airport Ticket Counter to request an upgrade.
Step 2: Ticket office staff deducts the corresponding miles and collects cash.
Step 3: Members check-in at the Business Class counter, present the Upgrade Invoice and other documents as required. Please bring along the original ID/passport and Lotusmiles card.
