Redeem miles for baggage awards

What is a Baggage Award?

Redeeming miles for baggage awards is a dedicated program for Lotusmiles members. Members accumulating enough miles can redeem for excess baggage for flights operated by Vietnam Airlines. In case of mile insufficiency, members may buy bonus miles from the Lotusmiles program.

There are two types of baggage award redemption:

• Redeem miles for excess baggage awards via the Vietnam Airlines website, and send requests to the email address of the Lotusmiles Care Center or directly go to Vietnam Airlines branch offices for assistance.
• Redeem miles for excess baggage awards during check-in at the airport.

Terms & Conditions

• On all flights operated by Vietnam Airlines.
• All Lotusmiles members can redeem baggage awards for themselves.
• Million milers, Platinum, Gold and Titanium members can redeem baggage awards for their relatives.
• When redeeming miles for excess baggage:
  • Up to 02 pieces (up to 23kg each) per flight.
  • Vietnam domestic routes: baggage of 23kg is applicable.
  • International routes: baggage of 23kg is applicable.
  • The maximum three-dimension length of a baggage piece must not exceed 158cm.
• When redeeming miles for baggage awards during check-in at the airport:
  • Submit a service request between 08 hours and 01 hour before departure.
  • Applicable airports: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Da Nang and Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) on Vietnam domestic flights.
