Earn miles easily when flying with Vietnam Airlines and enjoy a wide range of offers.

How Can You Earn Miles?

Whether you are flying on Vietnam Airlines, SkyTeam partner airlines or purchasing on your Vietnam Airlines' co-brand credit cards, you can earn miles with us! To enjoy appealing privileges, passengers can refer to information on using miles and register for Lotusmiles membership with Vietnam Airlines.

There are two types of miles you can earn with Lotusmiles:

  • Qualifying miles: Used to determine the membership tier in each qualifying period.
  • Bonus miles: Used to obtain awards from the Lotusmiles program such as air tickets, seat upgrades, baggage, etc. See more detailed information at mile redemption.

Members can refer to the flight mileage accrual chart/qualifying routes for Vietnam domestic flights and the flight mileage accrual chart/qualifying routes for international flights.

Forms of Earning Your Miles

Flying with Vietnam Airlines and airline partners: Member accounts will be credited with qualifying and bonus miles after flight completion. Please refer to the following eligible mile-earning flights:

  • Vietnam Airlines flights (VN-numbered and operated by Vietnam Airlines): Eligible for earning qualifying miles/routes and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered international flights operated by SkyTeam Alliance airlines: Eligible for earning qualifying miles/routes and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered flights operated by Pacific Airlines (BL), VASCO (0V), Cambodia Angkor Air (K6): Eligible for earning qualifying miles/routes and bonus miles.
  • VN-numbered flights operated by All Nippon Airways (NH), China Southern (CZ), Cathay Pacific (CX), Philippines Airlines (PR), Bangkok Airways (PG), Finnair (AY), and EL AL Israel Airlines (LY): Eligible for earning bonus miles only.

Use other partners' services: Member accounts will be credited with bonus miles when using services of Vietnam Airlines affiliated partners:

  • Earn bonus miles by spending and daily shopping using Vietnam Airlines and major banks' co-branded credit cards;
  • Earn bonus miles by booking hotels with Booking.com or Kaligo;
  • Earn bonus miles by using MobiFone services, purchasing MIC insurance, shopping with other Vietnam Airlines partners, etc.

When Will Miles Credited To My Account?

Earned miles will be automatically credited to the member's account:

  • After a maximum of 03 days following the completion of a Vietnam Airlines flight;
  • After a maximum of 07 days from the completion of a flight from a partner airline;
  • Between 06 and 08 weeks after using another partner's services.

Notes: Award tickets, tickets for infants under 2 years old, discount tickets for agents, and other types of discount tickets are not eligible to earn miles. A fare type that is ineligible for qualifying miles will also be ineligible for qualifying routes.

Validity of Miles

Earned miles are redeemable for a certain period of time from the earned date. After the redeemable period, unused accumulated miles will no longer be valid for redemption.

  • Bonus miles: Valid for a maximum of 03 years from the month credited to an account. In particular, the bonus miles for Million Milers are valid for 05 years.
  • Qualifying miles/segments: Valid for a maximum of 13 months from the qualified month.

How To Check My Miles?

Members can check their earned miles by logging into their account on Vietnam Airlines' website or app.

On the website

  • Step 1: Visit the vietnamairlines.com website
  • Step 2: Log in to the member account on the top right toolbar
  • Step 3: Upon successful login, the number of bonus miles, qualifying period, qualifying miles, qualifying flights, etc. will be displayed in the "Account Information" section.

On the Vietnam Airlines app

  • Step 1: Access your member account on the app and go to the “Lotusmiles” section
  • Step 2: In the "Account Information" section, select "Membership Card Information"
  • Step 3: The number of bonus miles, qualifying period, qualifying miles, qualifying flights, etc. will be displayed in the "Account Information" section.

Notes

  • The name on the ticket should match the name on the passport/ID and the name registered in the Lotusmiles system.
  • Members should provide the membership card number when making reservations (buying tickets) or using the services of Lotusmiles non-airline partners.
  • Members need to present their membership card when checking in for their flight.
  • Members receive monthly email updates on their mile account and can look up account information via the Vietnam Airlines website or app.
