Vietnam Airlines Nurtures Dreams Through the "Green Library" at Nam Dong High School

According to Mr. Le Nguyen Khoi, the high school years mark the time when students begin asking critical questions about their future. Vietnam Airlines hopes the Green Library serves as a space where students can explore academic fields, learn a new language, gather research for a presentation, or simply pick up a book that sparks their interest.

“Perhaps through a single moment of curiosity here, you will discover a new passion—and the path you wish to pursue,” Mr. Le Nguyen Khoi added.

Mr. Tran Van Phuc, Principal of Nam Dong High School, noted that the Green Library adds a practical learning space where students can access books, computers, and educational resources right at school. “What the school truly hopes for is that students will proactively make use of the library, so it becomes a living part of their daily learning and a place to explore their interests,” Mr. Tran Van Phuc added.

Luong Khanh Linh from Vietnam Airlines' Flight Crew Division 919. She shared firsthand insights into her journey to the cockpit and the dedication behind every flight.

From her academic background and rigorous training regime to the demanding standards of the profession, her real-world story helped students visualize a tangible path toward their own dreams—a journey toward mastering the cockpit and conquering the skies.

The gap between the stage and the audience melted away as students directly posed questions about the pilot profession, required training, essential skills, and the unique lifestyle of working in the aviation industry.

Ms. Pham Thi Hien, Head of the Literature Department at Nam Dong High School, shared: “Today's students are exposed to the Internet and AI from a very early age. Therefore, what is necessary is not simply having the tools, but also knowing how to ask questions, filter, and verify information. The library can become a place where teachers accompany students through that process.”

Through the Vietnam Airlines Youth Union's "Nurturing Knowledge – Soaring with Resilience" program in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, good books received from the Airline's staff were delivered directly by Youth Union members to the students of Nam Dong High School.

From the opening ceremony, the eager hands raised during the career orientation, and the meeting with the female pilot, to the very first pages being turned, the Green Library began its journey through the curiosity and excitement of Nam Dong students.

Vietnam Airlines hopes that when returning in the future, the books that are new today will bear the marks of being read many times, the computers will be used regularly, and the Green Library will have become a familiar place for students to read, study, explore, and step-by-step discover what they wish to pursue in the future.
