[VIAGS] Standing Shoulder to Shoulder: Empowering Employees to Overcome Hardships
In September, the VIAGS Trade Union collaborated with local trade union branches at Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports to visit, encourage, and deliver financial support to four employees currently undergoing treatment for critical illnesses or severe accidents. These timely gifts and heartfelt care not only help ease immediate burdens, but also instill renewed faith and resilience, empowering the employees and their families to stay strong throughout their recovery journeys.
Tan Son Nhat: Timely Support for Employees Battling Critical Illnesses
On September 7, a delegation from the VIAGS Trade Union—led by Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Union President; Mr. Le Quang Duc, Union Vice President; and Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung, Acting Deputy Director and President of the VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Trade Union Branch, alongside departmental union representatives—visited and offered words of encouragement to employees facing extraordinary hardships.
At the Apron Services Center, the delegation visited Mr. Ly Manh Tuan, a team leader diagnosed with a critical illness in July 2025. He remains in frail health, and his family is navigating significant financial and emotional strain.
Visiting Mr. Tuan at his home, the Company Trade Union presented VND 30 million to assist his family in covering ongoing medical treatment expenses.
The delegation also paid a visit to Mr. Le Ba Kieu, an employee at the Apron Services Center. Currently undergoing treatment for a serious illness, his health remains delicate, leaving him unable to return to work and placing a heavy burden on his family. The Union presented VND 30 million to help ease the financial strain on Mr. Kieu's family during his extended medical care.
Noi Bai: Fostering Solidarity and Compassion
On September 9, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Union President of VIAGS, and Mr. Pham Ngoc Huong, Deputy Director and President of the VIAGS Noi Bai Trade Union Branch, alongside departmental heads, visited and offered words of comfort to Ms. Tran Thi Kim Dung, an employee at the Passenger Services Center. Ms. Dung is unfortunately battling a critical illness; her declining health and prolonged medical treatment have placed considerable strain on her family.
The Company Trade Union presented VND 30 million, while the local VIAGS Noi Bai Trade Union Branch and fellow colleagues contributed an additional VND 3 million to help ease the financial burden on Ms. Dung's family.
On the same day, the delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Long, an employee at the Passenger Services Center. On August 19, 2026, while commuting home after his shift, Mr. Long was involved in a severe traffic accident. He remains under close medical observation and treatment, compounding the difficulties faced by his family.
The Company Trade Union presented VND 30 million, while the local VIAGS Noi Bai Trade Union Branch and fellow colleagues joined hands to contribute an additional VND 164 million. This widespread outpouring of support serves as an invaluable source of encouragement for Mr. Long’s family during this exceptionally challenging time.
These visits, comforting words, and practical assistance deeply embody and spread the spirit of solidarity and mutual support across the entire VIAGS family. Through concrete, timely, and responsible care initiatives, the VIAGS Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a trusted pillar of support—standing firmly beside union members and workers, especially in their hour of greatest need.
