Purchasing the Upgrade Service
Passengers can purchase the Upgrade service using one of the following methods:
- Go to “Manage Booking” - “Buy additional services” - “Upgrade” on the Vietnam Airlines website/app;
- Click on the Upgrade notification link sent via a message to the phone number registered when purchasing a ticket;
- Contact the ticket offices or agents in the Vietnam market, or last-hour ticket counters at domestic and international airports.
Passengers can view the price list for upgrading to Premium Economy and Business classes. Since fares fluctuate based on peak and off-peak travel seasons, please review the Peak Periods for Domestic Flights and Peak Periods for International Flights.
Frequently Asked Questions
In some cases, after a successful upgrade payment, the system may not instantly update the ticket class information on the e-ticket.
Please contact the Contact Center via email at onlinesupport@vietnamairlines.com for assistance with checking and updating your information.
To upgrade, please be aware of the following conditions:
- For Vietnam domestic flights, passengers holding Economy Flex and Economy Classic tickets, as well as award tickets (under the Lotusmiles Program), are able to purchase an upgrade service as soon as their tickets are issued.
- For international flights, passengers with Premium Economy Flex, Premium Economy Classic, Economy Flex, Economy Classic, and award tickets (under the Lotusmiles Program) can purchase an upgrade service as soon as their tickets are issued.
- If the desired seat is available, the upgrade service will be confirmed immediately at the time of purchase.
Upgrades cannot be refunded or exchanged.
The purchased upgrade service is only valid for the selected flight and non-refundable.
