Accordingly, from 23 to 30 April, Vietnam Airlines will operate 4-6 flights per day on Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route, and will increase the frequency to 11 flights per day starting May 2020. Regarding the Danang - Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City route, the frequency will be 1-2 flights per day, then increased to 4-5 flights per day from May 2020.

Vietnam Airlines will build up its service on the remaining routes gradually and operate codeshare flights with Jetstar Pacific on several routes from  24 to 30 April.

Specifically, the airline will restart operation on Hanoi and Da Lat/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc routes; Ho Chi Minh and Hai Phong/Thanh Hoa/Vinh/Hue/Da Lat/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc routes with the frequency of 1 flight per day. The operation of the following routes will be resumed with the frequency of 3-4 flights per week: between Hanoi and Can Tho/Tuy Hoa/Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot/Pleiku/Hue/Vinh/Chu Lai; between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot/Pleiku/Dong Hoi/Chu Lai. The carrier will increase its services on other routes by 1-2 flights per day from May 2020.

Jetstar Pacific Airlines will also increase service between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to 2 flights per day. Codeshare flights with Vietnam Airlines will be conducted to further enhance their “dual-brand” strategy. Passengers purchased Vietnam Airlines’ tickets and travel on codeshare flights operated by Jetstar Pacific will still be entitled to all onground and in-flight services of Vietnam Airlines, such as free baggage allowance, in-flight meals, and so forth. Passengers who are Lotusmiles members will still enjoy all benefits of the Lotusmiles program, including bonus miles, rewards, other offerings and priorities.

On 25 and 27 April, Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) will re-operate 1 flight  per day on the Hanoi - Dien Bien and Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao/Ca Mau routes.

From May 2020, the airline will service 1 flight per day from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, and three flights per week on the remaining routes.

To ensure the health of passengers and the broader community, Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, and VASCO continue to thoroughly disinfect all aircraft operated within the day, and carry out health screenings for passengers at the airport as per the regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam. The entire flight crew, including pilots and flight attendants, are equipped with face masks, gloves, goggles, and alcohol wipes. Passengers onboard are required to wear their masks for the entirety of the flights.

During this period, flight schedules will be adjusted based on the actual situation of operation. In case a flight must be rescheduled, the carrier will assist passengers to change the flight date/itinerary as per the current policy.
