Flights Deliver Donated Organs, Bringing New Life to Two Patients

The opening ceremony at 19-8 Primary School was filled with excitement and pride, as flags, drums, and the bright smiles of students marked the start of a new academic year. During the ceremony, a representative from Vietnam Airlines officially handed over the new library and gifts to the school, expressing the company’s wish to accompany teachers and students in building a friendly learning environment and nurturing the students’ passion for knowledge. Vietnam Airlines has donated two outdoor “green” libraries and one indoor digital library, fully equipped with laptops, desktop computers, printers, bookshelves, desks, reading tables, teacher and librarian furniture, book display stands, library instruction boards, air conditioners, sunshades, and even chess and Chinese chess sets.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, Principal of 19-8 Primary School, the new library system will inspire teachers to organize regular reading sessions and storytelling activities, helping students form daily reading habits.
“The library is flexibly designed to suit primary school students, enabling them to explore books and activities they love while fostering stronger bonds between teachers and students, as well as among classmates,” he shared.

A plaque reading “Vietnam Airlines Donates Digital Library System to 19-8 Primary School” was placed at the site, symbolizing the national flag carrier’s commitment to education and knowledge-sharing. The program, which includes the donation of the library system and 500 warm blankets, is part of Vietnam Airlines’ ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to promote reading culture and improve essential learning conditions for students in disadvantaged areas.

Over the past years, Vietnam Airlines has effectively implemented the “Green Library Project”, supporting education in remote and mountainous areas — such as Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School (Lang Son Province, 2023) and Muong Cha Town Secondary School (Dien Bien Province, 2024). This year’s initiative at 19-8 Primary School marks the third consecutive year of the meaningful program. Each library project not only provides a modern, friendly learning space but also reinforces Vietnam Airlines’ pioneering role in supporting community development.

With a vision toward sustainable development, Vietnam Airlines considers social responsibility an integral part of its business strategy. The airline remains steadfast in placing community values alongside business goals, continuing to support education and social welfare. In the coming years, Vietnam Airlines will expand its CSR programs — especially in education — to spread knowledge, nurture dreams, and contribute to the long-term growth of the community.
