From Vietnam to Russia
Before departure, passengers need to fully prepare the necessary documents required for flying from Vietnam to international destinations, such as air tickets, valid passports, and forms of identification. In addition, passengers flying from Vietnam to Russia should be aware of the following document requirements.
Passport
Passenger passports must be valid for 6 months from the estimated date of departure from Russia and have at least 2 blank pages.
Visa
Vietnamese citizens holding diplomatic and official passports are exempt from visas to enter and can stay in Russia for up to 90 days. Vietnamese citizens who are not in the categories mentioned above must apply for a valid visa.
From August 1, 2023, citizens of 55 countries, including Vietnam, will be able to enter Russia with a universal electronic visa (UEV). The UEV is valid for 60 days from the date of issue. Foreign citizens may stay in the Russian Federation for a maximum of 16 days from the date of entry. Passengers can visit the Russian Visa page for more details.
Entry declaration form
The entry form will be distributed and filled out during the flight or at the arrival airport.
Quarantine regulations
International visitors to Russia would no longer have to declare their health or Covid-19 vaccination status.
Cash regulations
According to regulations, if you enter Russia with cash worth USD 10,000 or more, you must disclose it to customs.
Pet regulations
Passengers flying with pets to Russia should visit the website Bringing Dogs and Cats to Russia for more information and prepare all necessary documentation before departure.
Regulations on food, meat, and plants
Russia has very tight regulations for bringing food, meat, or plants into the country. In general, under plant protection law, passengers are not allowed to bring fresh foods such as meat, vegetables, and fruits into Russia. Passengers should check the IATA website for more details.
