Steps of Sharing for Victims of Agent Orange
In response to the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange/dioxin disaster (August 10, 1961 – August 10, 2026) and the Day "For Agent Orange Victims," the Southern Regional Office of Vietnam Airlines (CNVN) participated in, supported, and sponsored the walking event "For Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin – 2026," held on the morning of August 2 at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street (Ho Chi Minh City).
Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the city center, thousands of people walked side by side in the program with a shared goal: to spread the spirit of sharing and join hands to support those affected by Agent Orange/dioxin.
The event was attended by central and local leaders, representatives of businesses, veterans, artists, students, alongside many international guests living, studying, and working in Vietnam. Each step not only signified participation in a community activity, but also served as a poignant reminder of the lingering losses left by war, while inspiring a collective sense of responsibility across society to accompany and aid victims of Agent Orange.
Through the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin continues to mobilize resources from domestic and international organizations and businesses to support the care and assistance of victims, helping them overcome hardships, improve their lives, and integrate into society.
In accompanying the program, the Vietnam Airlines Southern Regional Office aims to contribute to spreading humanitarian values and the spirit of mutual support throughout the community. This event also serves as an opportunity to align Vietnam Airlines' brand with practical social initiatives, reaffirming the National Flag Carrier's role not only in connecting journeys, but also in driving meaningful community actions.
The walking event "For Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin – 2026" stands as a testament to the power of solidarity and compassion. Every step taken and every contribution made helps ease the lingering pain, giving victims and their families the strength and confidence to look toward a better future.
For Vietnam Airlines, social responsibility is consistently demonstrated through concrete actions. Actively participating in community welfare activities not only reflects the airline's commitment to standing alongside the nation, but also helps spread noble, humanitarian values to its staff, customers, and society as a whole.
