Winged Dreams – A Day Exploring the Hangar with Young "VNAers"

On the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, the Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines organized a "special mini concert" – an exploration and hands-on tour of the VAECO Hangar for 300 children of Vietnam Airlines employees at both VAECO Noi Bai and VAECO Tan Son Nhat facilities, offering them a meaningful discovery journey and unforgettable moments.

No longer viewing aircraft from afar or through small windows, this time, the children stepped directly into the maintenance and repair hangar—the very place where technical engineers inspect and service aircraft daily to ensure every flight operates safely.

First-time Exploration of the World Behind the Flights

For many of the children, the hangar was an entirely new realm. The specialized technical areas, dedicated equipment, and especially the familiar aircraft seen up close created a truly awe-inspiring experience.

Here, the young visitors learned about aircraft maintenance and repair operations, gaining insight into how engineers and technicians meticulously inspect every component before an aircraft returns to service.

In particular, the young aviation fans had the chance to admire up close many familiar Vietnam Airlines aircraft models right inside the hangar, including the A320/A321, ATR, Boeing 787, and Airbus A350.

For the children, this was more than just a tour. It was an opportunity to witness a different side of aviation—one where, behind every flight, lies the quiet, dedicated work of those who tirelessly ensure each aircraft is fully prepped and safe for takeoff.

Nurturing Dreams from a Special Day

Alongside the hangar experience, the program brought the festive Mid-Autumn spirit to life with fun games and traditional moon-viewing treats. A day filled with seeing real aircraft up close, exploring specialized technical spaces, playing games, and celebrating the festival with friends created truly unforgettable memories.

Through this program, the Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines aims to provide a wholesome playground for the children and grandchildren of the airline's employees, while helping them gain a deeper understanding of the aviation industry and the silent efforts behind every flight.

Perhaps, from this single step into the hangar today, a lifelong dream of the skies will take flight—and these young "VNAers" may one day become future colleagues at Vietnam Airlines.

The Youth Union of the Corporation extends its sincere gratitude to VAECO, NASCO, NCS, VACS, SKYPEC, and the Corporate Office for their partnership and support in both Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat, contributing to a joyful, meaningful, and memorable Mid-Autumn Festival for the children.
