Packing Live Animals
Containers shall be appropriately constructed to fit size of live animals and complied with the current IATA Live Animals Regulations.
Size and ventilation of the container must be compatible with each type of animal. Food and water troughd are fitted from the outside fillers, containers must be designed so that employees can care for animals that are not in danger.
Containers in good condition to ensure sustainable structure during transport. When to use forklift trucks for loading and unloading, container stables must stand at least 5 cm high but not over 15 cm.
Containers must be leakproof against excreta from animals during transportation. The lying places must be covered with absorbent material provided by the shipper suitable for specific animal. The use of straw and hay as a absorbent material is not permitted.
Ensure that the door of the aircraft when opening is adequately secured to avoid escaping animals or endangering handling staff.
