Vietnam Airlines Youth Union Coordinates Martyr Tribute Program at Dong Loc Junction
In celebration of the success of the 14th National Party Congress, the 96th anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026), and looking forward to the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Airlines Youth Union coordinated a program to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on the evening of February 3, 2026, at the Dong Loc Junction Special National Historical Site (Ha Tinh Province).
The program is part of the "Memories Live Forever – Grateful to Heroic Martyrs" series, chaired by the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Finance's Youth Union and other partner youth organizations. The Vietnam Airlines Youth Union was a key coordinating unit, directly accompanying the organization and implementation of tribute activities and presenting gifts to local martyrs' families.
The centerpiece of the program was the handover of 200 colored restored portraits of martyrs from the project "Coloring Memories" (Tô màu ký ức). These portraits were personally delivered to the relatives of heroic martyrs in Ha Tinh province, helping to realize their wish to see clearer images of their loved ones during the Lunar New Year and Spring season. This is a spiritually significant gift, demonstrating gratitude and respect for the sacrifices of previous generations.
Within the framework of the program, delegates organized flower and incense offerings to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Dong Loc Junction, a sacred "red address" associated with the nation's heroic history. Additionally, 200 gift sets (each valued at 1 million VND) were presented to the families of martyrs as a gesture of care and encouragement during the early spring. Specifically, the NCTS unit and its Youth Union actively responded by contributing resources to support 50 million VND (equivalent to 50 gift sets) for the families.
The program took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, contributing to the spread of the tradition "When drinking water, remember its source." It also served as an opportunity for Vietnam Airlines' youth union members to strengthen their political awareness, revolutionary ideals, and the responsibility of the younger generation in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
