Working Tirelessly to Complete the Green Library Before the New School Year at Nam Dong High School

The bustling atmosphere stretched from the corridors into the heart of the library. A table shifted just a few centimeters, a row of chairs aligned neatly, books newly arranged on shelves straightened one last time. Piece by piece, each small task was carefully completed, bringing the library to a state of full readiness ahead of the official handover.

A New Learning Space for Students

The library at Nam Dong High School is part of a series of community initiatives spearheaded by Vietnam Airlines in Hue, continuing the journey of the "Fly Light to Hue" campaign toward environmentally friendly practices.

Beyond physical books, the library space has been upgraded with a modern computer system and digital learning resources, equipping students with expanded tools to research, explore reference materials, and enrich their daily studies right at school.

This modern focus marks the library's defining feature. For high school students, the need to access knowledge has rapidly evolved beyond traditional print books into the digital realm. Connected computers and online educational resources empower students to research materials across all subjects, build digital literacy, and gradually familiarize themselves with emerging tools, including artificial intelligence.

Completing the library is therefore not merely about opening another reading room or adding shelves of books. It is about creating a dynamic space where students can read, study, research, and take charge of their own intellectual exploration.

Another special detail lies in the tables, chairs, and bookshelves crafted entirely from recycled materials. Following reprocessing, these used materials have begun a new life cycle within the students' own learning environment, making the story of recycling tangible and relatable in their daily school life.

Ready for the Official Handover

By late afternoon, the room had been completely transformed. Books filled the shelves, computer systems were fully tested and operational, tables and chairs stood neatly arranged, and the reading and study areas were ready for use.

Vietnam Airlines staff continued to conduct a thorough final check of every detail—from electronic equipment to spatial arrangement—ensuring the library would be fully functional immediately following the handover.

On the morning of September 5, coinciding with the opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year, Vietnam Airlines will coordinate with Nam Dong High School to officially present and inaugurate the Green Library.

After hours of dedicated work arranging books, setting up computers, positioning furniture, and making final adjustments, all preparations are complete. The Nam Dong Green Library stands ready to welcome its first students on day one of the new school year.

Starting tomorrow, this newly completed space will open its doors to provide students with books, digital learning resources, and search tools to support their studies. Beyond the official handover, Vietnam Airlines hopes this space will become a vibrant, everyday hub where students actively pursue knowledge, embrace technology, and build lasting learning habits for years to come.
