From Vietnam to Germany
Before departure, passengers need to fully prepare the necessary documents required for flying from Vietnam to international destinations, such as air tickets, valid passports, and forms of identification. In addition, passengers flying from Vietnam to Germany should be aware of the following document requirements.
Passport
In addition to the usual passport or travel document requirements, the Federal Republic of Germany requires foreign passengers' passports or travel documents to be valid for at least three months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen area, no older than ten years, and with two blank pages.
Visa
Citizens of 62 countries are exempt from visa requirements to enter Germany. Passengers from countries not listed above require a valid visa to enter and transit Germany. Passengers can visit the Visa Navigator website to determine the right visa type.
Vietnamese citizens must have a valid visa to enter and transit Germany. Passengers can access the website of the representative agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam and follow the instructions to apply for a visa.
Passengers who wish to enter Germany for no more than 90 days for tourism, business, or relative visits may apply for a Schengen visa. Visit the website to learn more about Schengen visa information.
Quarantine regulations
The government of the Federal Republic of Germany removes all Covid-19-related entry restrictions for all passengers from April 7, 2023. For more information, please visit the Federal Republic of Germany's Ministry of Health's travel information page.
Cash regulations
According to regulations, passengers can bring up to EUR 10,000 in cash into Germany without declaring it. Passengers carrying more than the above amount of cash must declare it to customs upon entry.
