- Business Class: 1 piece of 32kg
- Premium Economy Class: 1 piece of 23kg

Regulations on free checked baggage apply to itineraries between Vietnam and Hong Kong/China/Taiwan/South Korea:
- Business Class: 2 pieces, 32kg each
- Premium Economy Class: 2 pieces, 23kg each

Regulations on free checked baggage apply to itineraries from/to Australia (except for itineraries from Japan to Australia) or European countries (except for Russia):

For itineraries operated by Vietnam Airlines:
- If you’ve already booked your ticket, check your baggage allowance in Manage Booking, or use our Baggage Calculator to check your free baggage allowance and excess baggage charges before your flight.
- The free checked baggage may vary depending on the itinerary and Fare type. For more details, passengers can refer to the Fare Types and Rules section.
- If the checked baggage exceeds the weight and size standards, passengers will be required to repack or pay for excess baggage at the airport or will be required to transport baggage as cargo.
- In some periods, the checked baggage regulations can be subject to change, depending on the operating situation.

The free baggage allowance may vary depending on the itinerary and the operating airline's policies.
Free checked baggage for infants
Infants under 2 years of age traveling without a separate seat receive the following free baggage allowance:
Tickets with a free checked baggage allowance:
- To/from the Americas: 1 piece up to 23 kg + 1 foldable stroller.
- Other itineraries: 1 piece up to 10 kg + 1 foldable stroller.
Tickets without a free checked baggage allowance: 1 foldable stroller only.
Note: Each checked baggage piece must not exceed 115 cm in total dimensions (length + width + height).
Free checked baggage for Lotusmiles and SkyTeam members
In addition to the ticketed baggage allowance, Lotusmile and Skyteam members are benefited from checked baggage on VN's flights operated by Vietnam Airlines as follows:
