Purchasing the Last-minute Upgrade Service
Please contact the Vietnam Airlines check-in counters and airport sales offices within 3 hours before the departure of international flights.
Passengers can view the price list for last-minute upgrades to Premium Economy and Business classes. Since fares fluctuate based on peak and off-peak travel seasons, please review the Peak Periods for Domestic Flights and Peak Periods for International Flights.
Frequently Asked Questions
To purchase a last-minute upgrade, please be aware of the following conditions:
- Applicable itineraries: International itineraries departing from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City;
- Application period: From June 16, 2025.
- Fare types: Premium Economy Classic/Flex and Economy Classic/Flex.
Last-minute upgrades apply to Premium Economy Classic/Flex and Economy Classic/Flex classes.
Services provided under the new class after a last-minute upgrade include: priority baggage tags, priority boarding, and seating amenities.
The services provided according to your original ticket class include: meals, free baggage allowance, qualifying miles for Lotusmiles and frequent flyer programs of other Vietnam Airlines’ partners, and Business Lounge access.
Last-minute upgrades cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Last-minute upgrades do not apply to:
- Certain booking classes;
- Infants under 2 years old;
- Tickets that have already been checked in;
- Exchanging from a regular seat for an emergency exit seat.
