Prepaid baggage allows passengers to purchase extra baggage in addition to free baggage allowance and applies to flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines (except for flights operated by ATR 72) with Vietnam Airlines' tickets (738). Please be noted that the conditions for purchasing prepaid baggage are as follows:

  • Prepaid baggage is sold in standard pieces with 10kg and 23kg for Vietnam domestic routes and 23kg for international routes. The total of three dimensions for one standard piece does not exceed 158cm. A passenger can purchase up to 10 standard pieces for each weight type.
  • Prepaid baggage complies with Vietnam Airlines' checked baggage regulations, but does not apply to Special baggage.
  • Prepaid baggage cannot be endorsed, refunded, or exchanged for other services or tickets. The completely unused prepaid baggage is refundable only if it is associated with a ticket that shows itinerary departing from Korea. The refund fee is 25% of the unused prepaid baggage's value.
  • Prepaid baggage is allowed to change to a new travel date/itinerary with equal or higher cost. The change must be made at least 6 hours before the departure time of the new flight segment.
