Buy Qualifying Miles/Flights

Lotusmiles members can purchase additional qualifying miles/flights to maintain the current tier or upgrade to a higher membership tier.

Prices applicable from February 15, 2023

  • Qualifying miles: VND 2,200,000 for 1,000 miles (The price is in Vietnam and does not include VAT) or USD 100 for 1,000 miles (outside Vietnam). The qualifying miles can be purchased in units of 1,000 miles.
  • Qualifying flights: VND 2,200,000 for 1 flight (The price is in Vietnam and does not include VAT) or USD 100 for 1 flight (outside Vietnam). 
How to Purchase

Method 1: Purchase Qualifying Miles/Flights on website and mobile app: Log in your account and proceed to buy Qualifying Miles/Flights 

Method 2: Purchase Qualifying Miles/Flights at Vietnam Branch Offices

- Fill out Purchase Request for Qualifying Miles form or Purchase Request for Qualifying Flights form

- Submit and pay for the qualifying miles or qualifying flights at a Vietnam Airlines branch office.

Lotusmiles members will receive a new card within five days if in Vietnam, and after 20 days if the card has to be shipped abroad.

Conditions:

  • Purchased miles or flights can be used to qualify the membership tier, according to Lotusmiles regulations
  • Members can buy miles or flights for the current month or previous months. The new membership tier will be valid for 12 months from the month upgraded
  • Purchased miles or flights are non-refundable
  • Purchased miles can be used for an award redemption following Lotusmiles regulations
  • In the case that the qualifying miles or flights are purchased as a gift, the buyer has to commit that he/she had the receivers’ consent
  • If the new membership card and qualifying miles or qualifying flights, purchased as a gift, are refused, the receiver should inform the Lotusmiles Center immediately upon the receipt of the membership card and send it back to the Lotusmiles Center within 30 days. After receiving the statement of refusal, the Lotusmiles Center will downgrade the receiver’s membership tier to its initial status and/or close the receiver’s account

Convert award miles to qualifying miles/sectors

Lotusmiles members are entitled to convert accumulated award miles into qualifying miles/sectors in order to upgrade the membership tier. The fees for conversion are as follows:

  • In Vietnam

- 15,000 award miles = 1,000 qualifying miles or 1 qualifying sector;  

- Conversion fee is VND 210,000/transaction (does not include VAT).

  • In other markets

- 15,000 award miles = 1,000 qualifying miles or 1 qualifying sector;  

- Conversion fee is USD 10/transaction. 

The conversion is based on package, with each package containing 1,000 qualifying miles or 1 qualifying sector.

The maximum amount of qualifying miles/sectors for conversion is 20,000 qualifying miles or 20 qualifying sectors per calendar year (January 1 to December 31).

Note: The conversion can only be done in one account, but not from one account to another.

How to Convert

Method 1: Convert award miles for qualifying miles/flights on website and mobile app: Log in your account and proceed to convert miles

Method 2: Convert award miles at Vietnam Branch Offices

- Fill in the Convert miles Form.

- Submit the form and pay the transaction fee at a Vietnam Airlines branch office. 

- The qualifying miles/flights once credited to your account are used to maintain current tier or upgrade to higher tier following Lotusmiles Terms and Conditions and are non-refundable.
