Hanoi, 6 November 2019 – To meet rising air travel demand, Vietnam Airlines will launch new services on Ho Chi Minh City – Shenzhen on 27 November and Hanoi – Shenzhen on 28 November at a frequency of three and four weekly flights respectively. These are Vietnam Airlines’ 15th and 16th routes connecting the two countries to further expand the carrier’s vast network in China.
Operated on the Airbus A321, flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City to Shenzhen on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 22:45, while flights depart from Hanoi to Shenzhen on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 23:55. All flights from Shenzhen to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi depart at 3:35, with Ho Chi Minh City flights departing every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday; and Hanoi flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
These new routes will not only connect Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to one of the most vibrant economic and technology hubs in China but also enable travelers to explore attractive domestic destinations in both Vietnam and China. The extensive flight network of Vietnam Airlines allows passengers who have toured Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to visit other popular destinations, namely Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. Meanwhile, tourists to China will have the opportunities to explore Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Hong Kong, from which they can easily take Vietnam Airlines’ flights back home.
To celebrate the new launches, Vietnam Airlines offers promotional roundtrip airfares starting from USD19 (or USD145 including taxes and charges) on the Ho Chi Minh City – Shenzhen route and from USD29 (or USD155 including taxes and charges) on the Hanoi - Shenzhen route. These offers apply to tickets issued from now until 31 December 2019.
