Hanoi, September 13, 2018 – From 18 September 2018, Vietnam Airlines will resume services at Kansai Airport after the airport was shutdown due to the impact of typhoon Jebi in Japan.

As Kansai Airport is in the process of recovering and only operates a limited number of flights, from September 18 to September 20 2018, Vietnam Airlines will operate flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Osaka with a frequency of 1 round-trip flight per day by Boeing 787. After September 20, Vietnam Airlines will work with Kansai airport to restore Hanoi-Osaka services.

In order to meet increasing travel demand of passengers between Vietnam and Japan during this time, Vietnam Airlines will replace Airbus A321 with Boeing 787 on flights between Ha Noi-Nagoya and Ho Chi Minh city-Nagoya from September 18 and from September 21 respectively.
