• Award tickets for GLP members or people registered in Redemption group
• For all Vietnam Airlines domestic and international flights to/from United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, United States  and Australia.
• Validity of Award ticket: 12 months from issuing date.
• Upgrade Awards for GLP members or people registered in Redemption group
• Upgrade Awards are only applied for the paid ticket that has all itineraries on Vietnam Airlines with carrier code are VN.
• Upgrade Awards will only be issued when enclosing with paid ticket that have eligible booking classes for earning miles (Y, K, W, S, B, H, L, T, M).

• Validity of Upgrade award: same validity as paid tickets.

• Excess Baggage Allowance Awards for GLP members only (not for people in the redemption groups)
• Apply for flights operated and marketed by Vietnam Airlines only.
• Each Excess-baggage award is limited to 30kg. Excess-baggage package is at least 10kg and the next calculated unit is 10kg (if weight of award excess-baggage is over 10 kg).
• Validity of Excess baggage: 12 months from the issuing date

• Domestic award redemption policy in Vietnamese Lunar New Year period: From 2013, Golden Lotus Plus members are entitled to redeem awards on certain domestic routes in peak periods of Vietnamese Lunar New Year with miles deducted as twice as in off-peak periods.

• Peak periods:
  
  • Before Vietnamese Lunar New Year: from 23rd December to 3rd January in Lunar calendar;
  • After Vietnamese Lunar New Year: from 4th January to 12th January in Lunar calendar.

• Applicable routes:

  • Before Vietnamese Lunar New Year: From Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi/Hue/Da Nang/Hai Phong/Vinh;
  • After Vietnamese Lunar New Year: From Hanoi/Hue/Da Nang/Hai Phong/Vinh to Ho Chi Minh City.

• Conditions of application:

  • Award tickets in peak periods of Vietnamese Lunar New Year must comply with the rules and conditions of Golden Lotus Plus Program;
  • Award tickets issued for flights in peak periods of Vietnamese Lunar New Year are allowed to rebook (if seats are available) with a charge of VND 600,000 per transaction made within Vietnam or USD 30 per transaction made outside Vietnam.

Notes:

• Request for Excess-Baggage (Award Request Form) must be sent at least 3 days prior to departure date. After receiving request, the GLP Centre will send Award Voucher to members via email. Members will receive Excess-Baggage award at Branch offices and the Regional office.

• To know your itineraries belong to which award zone, please click here to define.
• If the award travel includes both international and domestic segments, miles will be redeemed separately for international and domestic segments.
• In case VN does not have direct international flights, the award ticket can be included domestic segments, but the domestic points must be within-24-hour transit points.
• In peak period:
• Miles to redeem award ticket in peak period are twice as many as in off-peak period.
• If the entire itinerary includes segments not in peak period, 200 percent of miles required shall be redeemed only for flights in peak period.
• The award ticket’s departure dates are changeable if seats are available.
