1. How can I apply to Golden Lotus Plus program?
You can join Golden Lotus Plus program by accessing our Golden Lotus Plus website: www.vietnamairlines.com, section Frequent Flyer, Enroll now and follow the instruction to register online application.

2. I just enrolled in the Golden Lotus Plus program, can I get miles for the flights I have already taken before enrolling?
No, according to the Golden Lotus Plus  terms & conditions, you can earn miles after becoming a Golden Lotus Plus member only.

3. I successfully enrolled in the Golden Lotus Plus program, when can I receive my Golden Lotus Plus membership card?
You are required to complete at least one eligible flight with Vietnam Airlines, a card will be issued and send to your address. In order to have miles credited, you should inform your membership card number when making reservation and check-in at the airport.

4. How many members of SkyTeam Alliance? What are privileges when flying with SkyTeam?
There are 13 airlines member of SkyTeam Alliance including: Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Air France, China Southern Airlines, Alitalia, Delta Airlines, Aeroflot, AeroMexico, Kenya Airways, Tarom, Air Europa, Czech Airlines and KLM Airlines.
When flying on SkyTeam, according to your Golden Lotus Plus  membership tier, we offer many service benefits such as reservation priority, baggage privileges, lounge access depending on your card level. Please visit www.vietnamairlines.com for the details.

5. Who are the partners of Golden Lotus Plus?
SkyTeam partners: Korean Air, Air France, China Southern Airlines, Alitalia, Delta Airlines, Aeroflot, AeroMexico, Kenya Airways, Tarom, Air Europa, Czech Airlines and KLM Airlines.
Hotel partners: JAL Hotel Group, Marco Polo Hotel Group, Accor Hotel Group, Six Senses Group,  Golden Sand Resort Hoi An, Hoi An Riverside Resort, Sai Gon Phu Quoc Resort, Ha Noi Daewoo.
Banking partners: Vietcombank – Vietnam Airlines – American Express Credit Card, Vietnam Airlines – Techcombank – Visa Cobrand Card.
Telecom partners: MobiFone.

6. What are the differences between Accumulated mileages and Qualifying mileages? I have 45,000 miles in my account, can my membership tier be upgraded to Gold tier?
The Qualifying mileages are earned from eligible flights of Vietnam Airlines and SkyTeam alliance within a qualifying period. It does not include bonus and promotional miles.
The Accumulated mileages are valid in three years including qualifying mileages and bonus miles.
You have 45.000 miles but you could not be upgraded to Gold level because the qualifying miles in the current qualifying period are less than 30,000 miles.
  
7. What should I do if I lose my membership card?
Golden Lotus Plus Center will reissue the membership card with the fee equivalent to 2,000 miles deduct from member account.

8. According to Golden Lotus Plus terms and conditions, Gold members and Plantinum members can have one more piece of  extra baggage allowance. Why can’t I receive that benefit for the whole itinerary Hanoi-Taipei - Sanfrancisco with the ticket code VN (Vietnam Airlines)?
Gold and Plantinum members are offered one piece of extra baggage allowance on Vietnam Airlines operated flight. Therefore, member can only receive that benefit on Hanoi-Taipei itinerary. In the segment Taipei-Sanfrancisco operated by China Airlines and Vietnam Airlines is code-share partner in this flight so that Golden Lotus Plus members are not offered the baggage allowance benefit.

9. I registered in two frequent flyer programs on SkyTeam Alliance. Can I accumulate mileages for both two frequent flyer programs on one specific flight?
No, the accumulate miles for each flight could be credited in one frequent flyer account only.

10. My issued ticket is on Economy class, I have been upgraded to Business class at airport. So what class will be accumulated to my account?
Member earn miles with the booking class shown in the ticket.

11. Can I earn miles on SkyTeam flights?
Yes, Golden Lotus Plus member can earn miles on SkyTeam eligible flights.

12. What should I do if I forgot to show my card number when making the reservation and check-in at the airport?
Golden Lotus Plus member can accumulate miles after flying with Vietnam Airlines and SkyTeam if member did not show his membership card when booking and check-in.
If member has uncredited miles after flying with Vietnam Airlines or using our partner’s services, member must be claimed within 12 months from the flying date with Vietnam Airlines and within 6 months or 12 months with SkyTeam partners.

13. How can I claim my missing miles?
+ Air partners: member should send all documents of original broading passes, tickets or E-tickets number to Golden Lotus Plus Center, or the nearest Vietnam Airlines ticketing office or Vietnam Airlines overseas branch offices for crediting mileages to your account.
 + Non air partners: member should send all documents of paid invoices with your card number to Golden Lotus Plus Center, or the nearest Vietnam Airlines ticketing office or Vietnam Airlines overseas branch offices for crediting mileages to your account.

14. How can I redeem award ticket? Why must I book ticket before claim award ticket?
Member please contact to Vietnam Airlines ticketing offices to book a free flight on Vietnam Airlines or SkyTeam Alliance.
Member must complete an Award Request Form and send it together with a copy of member’s identity card or passport by mail, email or fax to Golden Lotus Plus Center at least 10 days prior to the departure.
Golden Lotus Plus Center will send E-award Certificate Number to member email address within 03 to 07 days.
Present your E-award Certificate Number together with your membership card and identify card or passpost at the chosen booking office to receive your award.
Member should book tickets before claim award tickets to confirm seat. Golden Lotus Plus Center will base on peak-seasons or low-seasons to determine the deducted mileages. 

15. Can I request awards for my family or friends?
Gold and Platinum members can request awards for their family, friends and person whose have the name indicated in Redemption Group Form. Gold member and Platinum member may designate and transfer award to maximum 07 people who are registered on a Redemption Group Form. Beside the first designation, you can change the list free of charge once a calendar year from 01 January to 31 December. For each extra change or addition in one calendar year, 3,000 miles will be deducted from your account.  

16. Can I change the itinerary of my award ticket after issuing the award ticket?
No, once the award ticket is issued, the traveler’s name, flight segment, class of service cannot be changed.

17. Is award ticket refundable? Can I refund the award ticket?
No, award ticket is non-refundable. Member can refund taxes of the award ticket only.

18. I already had my E-award Certificate Number but when I want to issue the award, my booking was cancelled. Why?
Once your Award Request has been approved and one E-ward Certificate Number has been issued by Golden Lotus Plus Center, it has Time Limit to collect your award ticket. When this Time Limit expire, your booking has been cancelled. You must rebook the same itinerary for your award ticket and issue your award ticket as normal.

19. Why I still need to pay money for the award tickets?
The award redemption is subject to the redeemer being responsible for concerned taxes and fees.

20. I am a Gold member. Can I request an award ticket for infant without deducting miles in my account?
Yes, Gold and Platinum members can request a free award ticket for infant under two years old who is registered on a Redemption Group Form.
You are required to show the infant’s birth certificate when issuing the award and check-in at the airport.

21. I am a Titan member and I have 25,000 qualifying miles. Can I purchase 5,000 miles from Golden Lotus Plus program or receive 5,000 miles from friend to upgrade to Gold membership?
No, the qualifying miles can not be purchased or transfered.

22. Can I transfer my Golden Lotus Plus miles into other frequent flyer account in SkyTeam Alliance?
No, you can not transfer miles to other frequent flyer account in SkyTeam Alliance.

23. How can I buy Golden Lotus Plus mileages?
Member can buy Golden Lotus Plus miles when needing extra miles to redeem an award ticket. Purchasing miles are the deficient miles required for air travel award and to be rounded as increment of 1,000. You can buy a maximum 30,000 miles per calendar year. The rate is US$0,025 per mile, including taxes and fees. Purchased miles are not refundable, are valid for claiming an award only and are not considered as qualifying miles. 

24. How can I transfer Golden Lotus Plus mileages?
Member can transfer Golden Lotus Plus miles when needing extra miles to redeem an award ticket. Minimum value is 1,000 miles and maximum is 30,000 miles a calendar year. Transferring miles are the deficient miles required for air travel award and to be rounded as increment of 1,000. The rate is US$0,01 per mile and US$20 processing fee per transaction. Purchased miles are not refundable, are valid for claiming an awards only and are not considered as qualifying miles. The transferee pays the fee for receiving miles, processing fee and taxes when receiving the award ticket. The transferee must bring identify card, passort and membership cards of himself/herself and transferor.
