Notice:

From 20th March 2013 to 20th November 2013 Vietnam Airlines suspend operating flights to/from Hue due to renovation of Phu Bai Airport - Hue city. Passengers who have purchased tickets through the website www.vietnamairlines.com for flights to/from Hue will be rerouted to flights to/from Danang. Reroute or refund fee will be waived for tickets issued for flights affected during this period. 1. Which flights are available for online booking?

Online booking currently is available on almost all international and domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and some codeshare flights operated by our partner airlines.


2. Which payment methods are available?


We offer the following forms of payment for online booking:
  • Immediate payment using International Payment Cards:
    • VISA,
    • MasterCard,
    • JCB (except for itineraries originating from France, Germany, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Norway and Spain).
  • Immediate payment using Vietnam Domestic Cards (Cards MUST be registered Internet Banking) issued by the following banks
    • Vietcombank - VCB
    • Techcombank - TCB
    • Vietnam International Bank - VIB
    • Eximbank of Vietnam - EIB
    • DongA Bank - DAB
    • VietinBank -VIB
    • Asia Commercial Bank - ACB
    • Military Bank - MB
    • Maritime Bank - MSB
    • Sai Gon Commercial Bank - STB

    • Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - BIDV
    • An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank - ABBank
    • Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Private Enterprise - VPBank

  • Pay later within 12 hours of booking and at least 12 hours before departure:
    • Connect24 issued by Vietcombank: Pay at Vietcombank ATM location
    • Techcombank account through Fast i-Bank services at www.techcombank.com.vn (account must be registered Fast i-Bank service)
    •  BIDV ATM cards issused by Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam: Pay at BIDV ATM location
    • ACB account through ACB i Bank services at  www.acbonline.com.vn  (account must be registered ACB i Bank service)
    • VCB account through iBanking services at www.vietcombank.com.vn (account must be registered VCB iBanking service) or with payment order at Vietcombank counters.
    • Cash payment at Vietcombank counters

Note:
  • For payment using International Payment Cards:
    • The cardholder is NOT required to be in the travelling party.
    • The card holder may be required to verify card at the time of check-in or at Vietnam Airlines Ticketing Offices before travelling

    • Virtual or single-use cards will not be accepted.

    • During the payment process, you may be required to enter your personal password in a secure page
    • Vietnam Airlines headquarter is located in Vietnam, banks issuing credit cards can charge a commission fee on each foreign transaction, depending on the country and currency of the credit card. Vietnam Airlines shall not be responsible for such fees. Please check with your issuing bank for details about commission fees.

  • For payment using Vietnam Domestic Cards:
    • The cardholder is NOT required to be in the travelling party.

    • Verification for payment card is NOT required

3. What kind of documents do I need to present for verification after using VISA/MasterCard/JCB to pay for tickets purchased online at www.vietnamairlines.com?
Physical payment card, passport and the eTickets purchased must be presented by the cardholder for verification at check-in or at the nearest Vietnam Airlines Ticketing Office prior to the flight departure.

4. How can I make payment at ATM machines?
Yes, we accept payment using Connect24 card at Vietcombank ATM machines located within Vietnam as follows:
  • Step 1: Login your account using PIN
  • Step 2: Select Transaction = “Bill Payment”
  • Step 3: Select Services Provider = “Airlines”
  • Step 4: Select Merchant No = “1” (stand for VNAirlines)
  • Step 5: Enter Reservation code using buttons on the right/left of  the screen to select letters
  • Step 6: Check the Customer Names/Reservation Code/Transfer amount/Itinerary displayed on the screen and press “Accept” to continue
  • Step 7: Reconfirm the Transfer details before click “Accept” to make payment
  • Step 8: When screen comes up with “You have transferred successful”, select “Yes” to get the Invoice printed.
5. How can I make payment through Fast i-Bank service of Tehcombank?
Please be sure that your account is registered i-Banking service with Techcombank and go through the following steps:

     

Step 1 - Book and collect Reservation Code (06 letter code) at www.vietnamairlines.com:
  • Upon confirming passenger(s) details, schedule and fare, choose the Mode of Payment = “Pay later by TCB Internet Banking”
  • Collect the Reservation Code of 06 letters
Step 2 - Pay through your Fast i-Bank account at www.techcombank.com.vn
  • Login your account, select menu Payment > Online Payment
  • Select Company = “Airlines > Vietnam Airlines Corporation” and type in Reservation Code
  • Check and confirm the Itinerary details
  • Reconfirm pasword before submit for payment.

Step 3 – Receive your e-Ticket: Upon successful payment, your e-Ticket and itinerary will be sent directly to your registered email account. 


6. Are online transactions/payments safe?
Vietnam Airlines website participates in Verified by Visa,  MasterCard® SecureCode™, J/Secure™, security feature – the extra layer of security for protecting your online transaction and SMS OTP, EMV OTP for Vietnam Local Card.

In addition, our online booking facility utilizes the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology – an industry-standard method for protecting web communications. Data is encrypted (turned into code) before transmission to prevent it from being intercepted.


7. What is Reservation Code used for?

Reservation Code is a 6-letter code (e.g. KJPNCZ) used for login to  http://www.virtuallythere.com/VN to get your eTicket Receipt. It is provided at the last stage of your booking on www.vietnamairlines.com and shown on your eTicket Receipt.


8. How can I collect my ticket purchased online?

Tickets purchased online are issued as electronic tickets (eTicket). After successful payment, your eTicket Receipt will be sent to your registered email.
 
If you do not receive your eTicket Receipt within 30 minutes after  successful payment, please login http://www.virtuallythere.com/VN to check and get your eTicket Receipt or contact the nearest Vietnam Airlines offices  or Vietnam Airlines helpdesk via telephone number: (84 - 4) 3 9381835/ (84 - 4) 3 938 1836, email: refund-online@vietnamairlines.com for supports.

 

9. What information is shown in the eTicket Receipt? Can eTicket Receipt be reviewed online?
eTicket Receipt includes information on the passengers, itineraries, fares and payments details. For more details and review your eTicket, please click here.

 

10. Can I make online booking for infant(s)?
Yes, you can book for infants without seat online at www.vietnamairlines.com. Click here to get more details on our regulations and special services offered for infants.

 

11. Can I make online booking and requesting accompanied service for my children traveling alone?

12. How can I find the best fare offered online?

When you search flight, our online booking system will automatically search and display the best fare and available seats in each fare family for your selected flights/dates range.

13. How do I make a change to my online booking or tickets booked online?

For changes to an existing online booking, including rerouting and change of flight date or time, please contact the nearest Vietnam Airlines Offices.

14. How can I cancel and get refund for tickets purchased online?

Please contact Vietnam Airlines Offices or email to refund-online@vietnamairlines.com with the completed Refund request form to get your refund. Please note that you MUST send the Refund request form from the email registered during the initial purchase. The refund will be credited to the card used to purchase the tickets.

Note: Depending on the rules and conditions of your fare, the refund may NOT be allowed OR a refund fee may be applied.

15. How many passengers can I book online?
You can book a maximum of 6 seats in one transaction.

 

16. Can I register and change my Golden Lotus Plus profile online?
Yes, you can register new Golden Lotus Plus account and update any information in your profile except your name on Vietnam Airlines website.


17. After purchasing ticket online, how can I get a receipt?
According to decision 153/2010/TT-BTC dated 28/09/2010 of Financial Ministry of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines eTicket is the legal receipt. Moreover, you can keep the boarding pass to prove services used with payment organization.


18. What should I do if I lose the international payment card used to purchase my online ticket and this is needed for check-in/change my ticket?
Please go to your nearest Vietnam Airlines Ticketing office to purchase a new ticket and refund the old ticket.


19. What should I do if my bank has issued me a new international payment card to replace the one used to purchase my online ticket?
Please go to your nearest Vietnam Airlines Ticketing office to purchase a new ticket and refund the old ticket.


20. What should I do if I terminate the international payment card that I used to purchase my ticket?
Before you terminate, please bring your international payment card to the nearest Vietnam Airlines Ticketing office to have it verified. You will then no longer be required to present your international payment card during check-in.


21. My international payment card is valid at time of online purchasing but will expire before my travel. What should I do if my international payment card expires before I commence my travel?

Vietnam Airlines accepts expired international payment card at check-in provided that it is valid at time of online purchasing.
